Cheems ($CHEEMS) Thesis

$CHEEMS is a coin built on the internet's most relatable dog: the scared one.

Cheems was a real Shiba Inu named Balltze, or "Ball Ball" to his owner Kathy in Hong Kong. In 2017 she posted a photo of him sitting on the floor, looking deeply unsure about everything.

Two years later, Reddit's r/dogelore gave that face a voice: a dog who loves "cheemsburgers" and can't stop adding m's to his words.

Then came Swole Doge vs. Cheems. The ripped dog is how things used to be. Soft, nervous Cheems is how they are now.

That's the whole appeal. Cheems is what being down bad looks like, and anyone who has held a coin through a crash has been him.

He also starred in the bat-swinging "bonk" meme of 2020, two years before Solana's biggest dog coin took that word as its name.

In August 2023, Balltze died during cancer surgery at 12. Kathy said she hoped he could keep bringing joy to everyone online.

The coin came from an anonymous team behind cheems.pet, not from his family, and it started in an odd place.

In May 2023, $CHEEMS launched on zkSync Era with no presale and no team allocation. The entire supply was airdropped to 65,090 early zkSync wallets. Free money for people who had been farming the chain.

A year later the party there was over. In September 2024 the account posted "The zkSync kingdom has fallen" and moved the whole coin to BNB Chain. Holders burned their zkSync tokens to get the same amount on the new chain.

The tokens nobody moved went to a community vote, and holders chose to burn all 16.1 trillion of them.

By then $CHEEMS was up about 500% since the move. Four months later, Binance listed it as 1000CHEEMS.

Today it sits around $79M, roughly 82% below its March 2025 high, and the coin's own account posts things like "Another rainy night".

That's the point. There's no roadmap here. The bet is that one of the most recognized dog faces online, right next to Doge, has a fairly distributed, Binance-listed coin priced far below its cultural weight.

Doge got to be the swole one. $CHEEMS is the weak, anxious dog that lost its chain, packed up and kept going anyway, and that's the version of the meme most of us actually live.
