Mog Coin ($MOG) Thesis

In 2023, "mog" was still niche internet slang. It came from AMOG, "alpha male of the group," and on 4chan and fitness forums it meant to outshine someone. Traders Aug and Slumpt kept joking in a Milady group chat that they'd launch a coin around it, until Aug finally pressed the button and $MOG went live in July 2023 as a fair launch on Uniswap.

The first mascot was Hunter Biden in Pit Viper sunglasses. The community later swapped him for the laughing cat in Pit Vipers, 😹🫵, and turned mogging into "effortless cosmic domination." Anyone can put the glasses on anything, so the meme never went stale. In May 2025, Elon Musk added the Pit Vipers to his profile picture and Garry Tan followed.

Then in 2026 the word itself went mainstream. Clavicular's "frame-mogged" clips pushed it into classrooms, and NBC, NPR and The Guardian all wrote explainers, with NBC naming $MOG in its story. Even Pit Viper, the brand behind the meme's sunglasses, made official Moggles with the coin.

$MOG owned the word years before the rest of the internet learned to say it.
