PEPONS

$PEPONS is the Pepe of Pons, a mascot created by Pons dev Ozzy himself.

On July 22, Ozzy wrote Pepons into the official Pons GitHub as a frog that never moves, explaining the launchpad's anti-snipe mechanics.

16 minutes and 49 seconds later, he deployed the token and added its contract address to the same document. Both updates were signed by Ozzy, confirming he authored them.

The document was deleted hours later, but the Git history remains.

That gives $PEPONS something most memecoins can't manufacture:

real developer-originated lore that you can actually verify.

Pons has created other mascot lore, but Pepons is the one that became an actual token with its CA embedded in the original documentation.

You're getting a Pepe derivative with a direct connection to the Pons dev and one of the most interesting pieces of Pons lore.

Pepons got that interesting origin story and character, but we may have to wait and see how it establishes itself as a serious Pons mascot in an ecosystem with so many mascots.
